Training for Parents of Autistic Teenagers Without Intellectual Disabilities

Autisme Montréal invites you to a training session led by Aniko Burjan, a psychoeducator, trainer and the founder of the LilyPED Learning Centre.

The training aims to provide parents with the tools they need to better understand and support their autistic teenager without an intellectual disability throughout their time at school.

Topics covered:

– The school system, placement options, and possible accommodations;

Executive function challenges and their impact on daily life;

– Managing mental overload related to school;

– Collaborating with your teenager to make homework time more harmonious;

– Balanced management of screen time;

Supporting your teenager’s self-esteem.

The session will provide concrete tools and practical strategies to help parents support their teenager in a caring, realistic and effective way.
